Should students be required to attend class?

In my opinion students should not be required to attend class.
There are several reasons to support this.
The first major reason for letting the students deside wether to go to university is to develop self-dependent. For example this is crucial as a requirement for your job later.
Another positive aspect for not requireing students to attend university classes is the space gain, because if everbody has to attend, class rooms will always be full.
As the students do not have to attend, it is more easy for them if they are prevented for any reason.
Because you are also more flexible with your dates and it is possible to rewatch the lecture online.
To sum it up, attending university as optional is the best way to have a healthy attendence of the students, with benefits on bide sites.
