It is more important for students to study history and literature than it is for them to study science and mathematics.

In my opinion it is more important to study science and mathematics than it is to study history and literature. Eventhough study history and literature is important it is not the most important topic you learn in class.

The first point is the importance of mathematics and science in your daily life. For example you need to know how electricity works. If you do not, you will put yourself under risk when working with electrical devices.

Another reason for the importance of mathematics is your job in the future.
For example if you want to work as an accountant, you will need to calculate a lot. Without a comprehensive knowledge this would not be possible.

Finally the knowledge of science and mathematics helps to improve our daily life.
For instance you want to create a solar car. If you do not have any further information about creating electricity from the sun and how to build a lightweight casis for the car you will not succeed.

In conclusion there are a lot of reasons for the importance of science and mathematics.
It not only influences our daily life but also our job and the future. History and literature also plays a important part of education, however the priority in class should not be as high as for mathematics and science.
