Nowadays people do not work for a longer period of time at one company.
Most people do not even work their for longer than 10 years.
But should companies hire people for their entire lifes?
In my Opinion people should not be hired this long, because there are many reasons against it.
The first reason relates to the social surroundings. If you to get along with your coworkers or bosses for your entire life and the relationship is not as good as it should be you will have a very unpleasing work atmosphere and you will not be motivated for work.
Another reason is the possibility for learning and improving yourself. If you work only at one company, you will not see different subjects and will not have to learn new aspects. This is also important for not doing the same work over and over again.
The last major point is the freedom of choice. Because if you limit a person in their ability to choose something different after a while, you maybe will have a very unsatisfied worker who does not work in favor of you company goal but only for getting the work done.
In conclusion limiting a worker to work at a company for his entire life is not a very practical goal and therefore companies should not enforce people to work on one place.
